Dedon – SeaX Chair Foldable Chair for Florida
Dedon, the German outdoor furniture brand, has released the SeaX chair especially designed for outside seating.
SeaX stands for elegance and modernity. Distinguished by its meticulous attention to detail, its wealth of innovative design solutions and its alluring array of materials, colors and textures, this ultra-sophisticated foldable armchair is the work of French designer Jean-Marie Massaud. Taking inspiration from the sleek racing sailboats of the America’s Cup, SeaX comes in dining and lounge dimensions with a selected choice of characteristically innovative, weather-resistant DEDON materials: suitable leather and our state-of-the-art woven fabrics.
About the Designer
Born in France in 1966, Jean-Marie Massaud studied at the renowned “Les Ateliers Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Création Industrielle” in Paris. After completing his studies, he first worked with Marc Berthier; then in 2000, he founded the successful “Studio Maussaud” together with Daniel Pouzet, a studio which designed furnishings for Cassina and Axor as well as stores and stands for Lancôme and Poltrona Frau.
Massaud’s work has been honored with numerous prizes including the Compasso d’Oro (1995–98), the Designer of the Year Award (The Paris Furniture fair 2007), and the ELLE Decoration International Award (2007).
Armchair: Painstakingly engineered and crafted for easy folding, this SeaX Armchair features outdoor-treated allnatural leather and armrests finished with sea-bent plywood. Frame: Powder-coated die-cast aluminum
Finishing: Seat and backrest are of genuine leather with a special outdoor treatment. Armrests feature a sea-bent plywood finish.

Maintenance:
Clean frame with soft cloth and warm water. To keep the genuine leather of the seat and backrest looking its best, we recommend regular treatment with DEDON leather care products. Clean sea-bent plywood armrest covers with a damp cloth, and do not apply cleaning detergents of any kind.
Cushion Maintenance:
Cushion covers may be removed and washed.
